The journal of community medicine
(JCM) publishes articles focusing on original research findings related to
current community health problems, issues, policies and programs of India and
the world at large. The journal invites publication of
original article, short article, on recent advances, clinical epidemiological
diagnosis, and management, comments, review articles, correspondence, and
letter to editor, field experience, success stories, and lecture notes on
issues of public health importance. The journal is published biannually
(July and January) .it is assigned a number 0973-2454 ISSN (international
standardized serial number) and in due course will be indexed in other
indexing system. It is published by the Indian
Association of preventive and Social Medicine (Orissa Chapter) at the
department of Community Medicine VSS Medical College, Burla – 768017,
Sambalpur, Orissa, India. All submission must be in English and
should not have been published in any substantial from in any other
publication, professional or lay. All manuscripts will become the property of
the publishers and will be subjected to editorial review. It is sent to out
side review to at least 2 referees whose comments are sent back to others.
The revised manuscript is again peer-reviewed and if found unsuitable for
JCM, the same is communicated to author. Accepted articles will be edited for
style and grammar. Accepted papers become the permanent property of the IAPSM
(Orissa Chapter).All articles should mention how ethical aspect of the study
was addressed.(

2 IMPORTANCE Review of the manuscript takes
any time between one to six months. Authors are requested to quote the
reference numbers of the article in all correspondence with the JCM( Journal
of Community Medicine). Cooperation is solicited from the authors to follow
